Hello darlings.

I have so many things that I hope to accomplish with this blog that it can be sometimes overwhelming. I dream for big things yet there is no anchor that can keep me from sticking to one particular idea.

I will come back for this blog.

Stay tuned!

Day 88: The Little Black Dress

Fall has finally arrived! I thought it would be a great time to welcome my favorite season with a timeless classic: the little black dress.

The beauty of the little black dress is everyone can find one that will fit their body type. I was lucky enough to receive this gorgeous black dress from Kersh and it was love at first sight. What I love about this dress is that the a-line structure accentuates my waist (Yay for illusions!). To complete the look I gave it a modern edge with a belt and clutch.

Dress: Kersh | BeltForever 21 | Clutch: Prabal Gurung for Target | Shoes: Zara

I found some great other alternatives:

I hope you can channel in your inner Audrey Hepburn and give the little black dress a try!

Day 71: NYFW in a Blur

Good Afternoon!

I had the rare opportunity to attend the Anna Sui fashion show this week and it was such an amazing experience.

The Resort 2014 collection took you back to the 70's and left you dreaming for more. Here are couple of my favorite pieces from the show.

(*sigh* If only things such as 'Couture Hippies' existed.)

Outfit for the Night:

Hat: Forever 21 Tank: Kersh Skirt: Zara, Similar here | Shoes: Zara, Similar here | Bag: Alexander Wang
Bracelets: Forever 21, Similar here

NYFW brought out so many new style inspirations and it was a wonderful way to welcome the upcoming season.

Happy almost fall my fellow readers. :)

Day 48: Basic Minimalist

I've been obsessing over black and white clothes lately. It's so chic and effortless.

Daily Inspiration:

Derek Lam Fall '13 RTW

Helmut Lang Fall '13 RTW

Jason Wu Fall '13 RTW

Weekly Pulls:

Tank: Zara | Necklace: Forever 21 | Skirt: Zara | Shoes: Rag & Bone

Tank: Asos | Skirt: Forever 21 | Belt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Rag & Bone

(*sorry about the slippers*)

Dress: Urban Outfitters | Shoes: Zara | Bag: Kate Spade

The possibilities for mixing and matching clothes are endless when you have statement pieces! I am in desperate need of a photographer. :(

I was at Le Bain over the weekend and it was simply breathtaking. Although it held the theme of a yuppy country club, I was sold by the amazing view overlooking the Hudson River and the adorable faux lawn. I can't wait to go back at night.

Just surreal.

Our view while sitting on plush lounge chairs.

They had a Crepe Shop on the rooftop and a jacuzzi downstairs.

Cheers to a beautiful afternoon.

Day 24: Picnic Orange

I've noticed that my posts are straying away from the main purpose of my blog. It's been a bit rough documenting what I wear without someone to take it for me.
But the show must continue!

I'm usually not a go-venture-out-by-yourself kind of girl, but New York has taught me the importance of spending time with yourself. When you do, in a strange spiritual way, it reconnects your mind to your body. I spent my Sunday doing just that.

Daily Inspiration:
I'm really drawn to this color, it seems to embody a perfect summer day.

Outfit of the Day:

The color of this maxi skirt brings this outfit to life.

Simple braided belt.

A little print to complete this look.

The lightness of this skirt was perfect for my walk around the city.

Tank: H&M | Belt: H&M | Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Zara |

I decided to take my lunch to-go and eat outside overlooking the view of the Hudson River.

It almost doesn't feel like New York.

Just a breathtaking view.

On the boardwalk.

Finally found a coffee shop that reminds me of home.

Sandwiches...Coffee...and a beautiful view... I feel like I won the lottery.

Stopped by the Punk exhibit at the MET. Snuck in a few photos.

So inspirational.

Today was a wonderful day.
New York you continue to surprise me.

Day 5: Excuse me? Pardon?

So it has almost been a week so now I memorized how to take the subway home and how to go to work.. success!

Explored SoHo for the first time and it has to be one of my favorite places I have visited so far. A chill atmosphere with, of course, that NY city twist. It was such a hot day to be walking around so we happened to stumble upon the nearest cafe and it turned out to be a really good lunch spot!

A glimpse of the neighborhood.

Yummy sandwiches and iced tea.

I have mixed feelings about the garment district. It is amazing to see all these fabric and trim shops all stuck in one block, but it is one of the more darker and depressing streets.

Crazy how this works...

So for the past couple days I was in this area, I kept feeling 'rain' and thought it was strange because it was so sunny out. Then for a while I was looking for the stupid rainbow (rain + sun = rainbow) like those kids from the darn lucky charms commercials. I figured out that it was NOT RAIN... but rather water leaking from all the air conditioners from the buildings above. So yes, dirty and leaky pipe water pisses on you while you walk.

One of my many 'unique' tasks at my job... felt kinda like a tattoo artist. My internship is starting off slow and awkward but hopefully I can get the hang of it soon. I work with a lot of ESL workers and so it becomes really difficult to understand the instructions you are suppose to follow when all you hear is "meep beep 3.. meep beep 1". Usually by then, I look over at the other interns in hopes that they can translate on her behalf but they look just as bewildered as I am. (sigh)

Moments like these (my walk back home) makes me fall in love with this crazy city.

I didn't take any outfit photos because I am not really motivated to dress up when it is so humid outside. :( I'll try to take more pictures of things more fashion related!

Goodnight darlings.
